Knaresborough
The picturesque market town of Knaresborough is a must see destination on any trip to North Yorkshire. Home to England’s oldest ticketed tourist attraction, a 12th Century Royal castle and spectacular river views over its towering Victorian railway viaduct, it has long been a favourite amongst visitors.
Today the town is home to a wide range of independent shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, as well as weekly, monthly and seasonal markets (weekly Wednesday market, monthly artisan market and the annual Christmas market and Spring Fayre).
